Will Embliss has been making tuned percussion since learning the balafon on a 6-month trip to Senegal in the 80s.

Will makes instruments for schools, families, playgrounds, woodlands and notably for Dame Evelyn Glennie. He also makes interactive sound sculptures and installations. Will mostly tunes to the pentatonic, but diatonic or chromatic scales are available on request.

A specialist in making tuned percussion instruments, like xylophones, which are upcycled using found wood, metals and plastic. These robust instruments are really easy to make a nice sound on, so can be therapeutic and fun for all.
