London-based sculptor Ben Graham brings attention to the cyclical nature of materials. Using waste-wood, offcuts and other byproducts of the construction industry, his liquid forms take on otherworldly shapes - undulating waveforms and curves seem to sag under their own weight, while observed at other angles, float and sway without the influence of gravity.
By working with this ubiquitous industrial driftwood, Ben hopes to give it new life. Amongst the flowing forms, discolouration, join marks and holes left from the material’s previous purpose are left as a reminder of each piece´s past life.
