  • About

At Creative Film Workshops, we believe in inspiring and encouraging children and young people. We deliver video making workshops that give participants an opportunity to learn new skills, gain a sense of achievement and increase self-confidence through creating their own videos.

Timothy Mason, who is a professional videographer with a passion for investing in children and young people, set up Creative Film Workshops while he was working in a school supporting children with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties in 2012. After realising that he could use video making as a way to engage, disengage children and young people.

Since then Creative Film Workshops has delivered several workshops in schools, youth clubs and a museum.

Some of the projects have been Be The Change where the participants created videos around what they wanted to see changed in their community.

Bringing History to Life which was a World War One film project with Lowewood Museum where we taught a group of Secondary School students filmmaking skills. They created a series of films based on the diary entries of a World War One soldier. The students dressed up in costumes and wore make up to look like wounded soldiers.

We have also become an AQA centre so participants can gain an accreditation for the skills they learnt during the workshop.
