Critical Moment Theatre helps communities tell the stories that matter to them – family stories and stories on grittier issues for adults.

Based in London and Somerset, Critical Moment took its first steps in 2020.

Since then we've workshopped new shows, produced online plays and created a digital audio trail for some of London's public spaces, bringing people together and giving a voice to the art on our streets.

We are committed to serving our community of artists too, by providing paid opportunities for theatre freelancers both onstage and behind the scenes. Everything we do pays everyone involved at industry rates.

Our work has been generously supported by Arts Council England, the Mayor of London, New Diorama Broadgate and the Peggy Ramsay Foundation.

Critical Moment Theatre is run by Martin Malcolm and Ryan Mellish.​
