Found Thread, created by Irish designer Mia de Las Casas, has uncovered its first collection Arcadia Falling. Accessories include neckerchiefs with quirky natural motifs, luxurious long silk tassel scarves and earrings made from reclaimed chandelier crystals. Textile prints originate from Mia’s unique drawings, paintings and collages; and the earrings, named after a collection of tears, are crystal drops held by golden hands.
All textiles originate from Mia’s drawings, paintings and collages, and are printed onto natural fabrics.
Found Thread also up-cycles items into newly designed unique pieces, prolonging their life and use. We are committed to a sustainable production.
Mia's background includes the study of Textile Design and History of Art. She has interned with designers such as Iris van Herpen and Fyodor Golan.
Inspiration stems from the witticisms of nature, with a playful engagement of pattern and illustration bordering on the surreal.
