I am a creative producer with a reputation for, and commitment to, producing events and programmes that use the arts and creativity to effect lasting social change. Since September 2019, I have been working towards a MA in Creative Producing. After five years of working professionally within the creative sector, I needed to interrogate and improve my own policies, visions, ideas and practice so I could be the best creative producer I could be. It is a vital, exciting, and shifting time for the arts, even more so after COVID-19 and the issues that have been raised through the Black Lives Matter movement.
Armed with this knowledge, my skills with a budget, and my passion for community engagement, inclusion, diversity and social impact, I am equipped and excited to do work that has the same mission as myself; working with communities and avoiding tokenistic work by creating well thought out, valuable projects that are sustainable and created in spaces that are designed for all.
