Time for tea ceramics makes unique and handcrafted functional ceramics by me - Katarina. It was a meandering journey to discover ceramics, when I first when to art school, I was interested in texture and the experience of using things, which, fast forward 20 years quickly translated into a love for making ceramics when I joined a shared and communal ceramics studio. It was as a way to slow down and refocus. Now I make ceramics in my garden shed, and I celebrate the appreciation of slowing down in a busy world and connecting with the materials. This results in quiet, calm and simple forms with muted colours. I hope this can be transferred so when others use my tableware, it will help them to slow down and take some time to appreciate the moment.
