I’m Anj, word borrower and the founder of We Wrote a Poem.

Back in November 2018, I overheard a friend say “everyone you know is unlocking their bicycles”. Thinking this was a great line I wrote it down. Other people said random, funny things to me, so I collected them and made them into a poem. It was so much fun I carried on doing it every month.

After a bit of time, I started writing poems at events – weddings, networking sessions, food and drink festivals, to name a few. At this point, We Wrote a Poem was born.

As well, as capturing events, I also create poems as gifts for people. No matter where friends and family live, they can help make a poem to celebrate a special birthday by adding their ideas and comments to a WhatsApp group. We use them to create an unforgettable poem that makes everyone smile.
