We are looking for creatives to design, execute and install a new artwork at a selected location in the Warehouse District.

The Harringay Warehouse District sits at the junction of N4 and N15, between Manor House and South Tottenham; a part of Seven Sisters ward. It is home to a vast array of creative practitioners and businesses.

Whether you are a visual artist, illustrator, set designer, sign-maker or more, and based in the Harringay Warehouse District, we would love to hear from you!

The location for the proposed work is the side wall of New River Studios.

The brief

- The artwork needs to act as signage, and aid wayfinding to and from the Warehouse District.

- The artwork can be 2D (painted mural, vinyl…) or 3D (mosaic, panels…) but it would need to be installed to a flat surface.

- The artwork needs to be conscious of its surroundings, celebratory in nature and take inspiration from its location, community or areas of practice within the District.

- The artwork cannot incorporate images or messages which aren’t suitable to all audiences, or which may be considered to be advertising, or promoting religious or political beliefs.

Installation and maintenance

- We would like to understand how you will install the artwork, method statements, potential contractors involved, health and safety considerations and risk assessment.

- We would also like you to give us an understanding of how the work can be maintained in the medium to long term. Consider for example anti-graffiti paint if relevant.

- A specification handbook will be required at the end of the installation, which lists materials but also RAL colour numbers to facilitate ongoing maintenance.

Budget

The selected project will receive a fee of 5,000 + VAT (if applicable). The budget should be inclusive of artist or design fee, installation costs, materials, maintenance, photography/documentation, and any other associated costs related to the making and installing of the commission.

How to apply

Please apply using the online form accessible here. The application consists of 5 questions and the opportunity to attach images of your work and a CV or portfolio.

**Deadline 18 March 5pm**
